Introduction to Dance
Our introduction to dance program offers a variety of classes for our young dancers to explore and discover multiple styles of dance. All of our young dancers will utilize creativity to build dance vocabulary, memorization and technique. These classes will help develop coordination, musicality, self expression and confidence, all while having a blast on the dance floor!
Ballet
Ballet is a classical dance that can be mastered on its own or can be a base for many other dance forms. The technique and discipline learned in ballet will set dancers up for a strong foundation in their dance career. Classes will focus on alignment, strength, and a traditional class layout.
Lyrical
When classic ballet technique is blended with jazz and other modern styles, lyrical is born. Using flowing movements and compelling music, a story is told through dance. Learn to use emotion through movement and express yourself through dance.
Jazz
Clean lines, high power movement, and strong technique are the things that make a strong jazz dancer. At fearless motion we will make sure dancers are learning jazz foundations and are being pushed to keep up with the standards of today. Jazz is an ever evolving style and so are our dancers.
Tap
With tap shoes on your feet, learn how to articulate sounds, make syncopated rhythms and discover the history of tap dancers that come before you. Tap dance will bring out your inner musician and expand your knowledge of terminology. Delve deep into proper tap technique while listening to classic fun music.
Hip Hop
Hip hop's increasing popularity has muddied true street style. We are bringing back foundations and funky movement so dancers are informed on where this dance comes from. We will bring back culture and style into the studio as dancers learn breaking and other classics.
Modern
Modern emerged in the late 1800s as a foundational alternative to ballet, building strength and technique but in a less fluid manner. Dancers will explore techniques from different modern dance pioneers in history, including Horton, Taylor, Graham, and Humphrey. Watch as your dancer becomes stronger and more focused in this fundamentally challenging class.
